Welcome to Distractd
Im so excited to be back with you all tonight after my little outback desert adventure. It's because of you we are able to make this happen. If no one came to these events there would be no DISTRACTD. Ive heard last month with Candice was epic and you all got a chance to discuss what its like having an ADHDer in your world. My camping adventure was so great and needed. I did however notice my ADHD popping up in lots of little ways. So will make sure we speak holidaying with ADHD at some stage too.
We made sure to get some DISTRACTD stickers onto the outback pub fridges and road signs. Here they are at the Birdsville Pub and the sign to Poeppel Corner ( border of NT,SA,QLD)
I started Distractd to meet other people with a connection to ADHD, Break any stigma around what it is and is not by learning from the people in the know. I soon found out my hunger for knowledge and connection regarding ADHD was something a lot of other people were also seeking. As long as you all come along to these we will continue to deliver them. Thanks for making the effort to come out and join us

Feros Care are doing a quick survey on how we are connected to our community.
I am part of the team at Feros Care, a NDIS partner in the community, delivering Local Area Coordination services that support people with disability to live healthy, connected and fulfilling lives.
As a not-for-profit, all-inclusive organisation, we’re dedicated to changing societal attitudes for the better and encouraging accessible, inclusive environments.
As a member of the Autistic & Neurodivergent Collective at Feros Care, and someone who identifies as neurodivergent, I’m passionate about recognising and understanding the unmet needs that Autistic and Neurodivergent people have in our communities.
Today, I’m seeking your insights around how you are connected to your community. There are 12 questions in the below. It is de-identified, so your answers will remain anonymous. If you could complete the survey using the link below, it will be very helpful for us to further understand these needs.
Who is the Autistic & Neurodiverse Collective (A & N Collective) at Feros Care?
The A & N Collective is one of 9 cohort teams formed at Feros Care. We are made up of Local Area Coordinators (LAC) who are Autistic and/or Neurodivergent and carers and supporters of autistic people. We are passionate about recognising the community need for people identifying with Autism and other Neurological minorities.
The A & N Collective upholds the belief that people with disabilities are the experts in their own lives. The A & N Collective aims to champion true co-design principles, build communities’ capacity to empower, support and advocate for themselves and challenge perceived social norms and stigma about disability.
